Turkey Hill Sportsmans Club

Where Clay Shooters Meet

Come down and see the changes here at Turkey Hill. We now have two skeet ranges and a trap range. No more backups of members awaiting to get their chance to shoot.

We have moved some of our rifle ranges to the right of the east skeet range. This will give those who want to shoot rifles and or pistols a chance to do so even when there are skeet or trap shooters up there. For the pistol and 22 rifle shooters, we have opened an area to the right across the car path for this. Targets and backstops have been put in place. .

Turkey Hill Sportsman's Club is now  250 members strong. Who would believe this in just 3 years from concept. We plan to hold this number at 250 for awhile. Most of our shooters at the turkey shoot were members.

When you visit Turkey Hill you will see our new storage shed. It was donated to us by a member and reconstructed by other members. What a great job. Our thanks go out to all involved.

We also have a very nice deep freeze in our storage shed, donated off course.

Bob has supervised the construction of our deck outside the club house and what a great job he did. Where would Turkey Hill be without him.

We are now working on putting a fence across the front of the Turkey Hill property. The corner post have been made and are being painted. Bob has obtained a post hole digger for his tractor and the rest of the post will soon be in.   Just a note to say this is completed.

What's in the future?? We are thinking of building a bigger club house. Bob has proposed a 50X100 foot building behind the present building. 40X50 would be our club room and kitchen with maybe even indoor toilets and 60X50 would be a storage room for clays etc. This is not a tomorrow thing but sounds like a great future plan for a club with the growth and reputation we are building in the area.

We have also completed the purchase of an additional acre of land from our neighbor which will help with the shot drop area from our skeet ranges.

For the ladies and men of course, we are building a rest room with lights, water and a real toilet. We should see this completed in the very near future. As of this update, this is also a completed project.

Also on the drawing board is whether or not we should put in a 2nd trap range. Again, future thinking.

Please use the comments section of this site to air your opinions. We know you all (or should I say y'all ) can't make the meetings but we sure would like to hear from you. Hey, I'm a yankee after all.

COME OUT AND JOIN THE FUN AT TURKEY HILL.
